Do you have some time to spare?
Want to do something challenging and rewarding? Then volunteering at Scrubditch Care Farm could be for you!
We always welcome new volunteers, especially those with experience in any of the following areas – farming, animal care, dry stonewalling, woodwork, horticulture and working with children or vulnerable adults.
We have a selection of different volunteer vacancies from gardening to helping with selling at the market or raising awareness in the local community as well as working with our students.
The volunteer role is hard work physically, well it is farm work! It is mainly outdoors, quite often cold and wet and on your feet for most of the day. But on the other hand it is very rewarding, really enjoyable and a great deal of fun!
All of our volunteers that work with students are required to have a CRB check. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, get in touch to discuss our vacancies.
Call or email Emma to find out more.
Do you like animals, meeting new people and getting stuck in or know someone who does?
Then you might like to join us at Scrubditch Care Farm!
Scrubditch Care Farm is a day facility for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues or behavioural problems. We have students of all ages, all of whom enjoy doing a variety of things at the farm – everyone is welcome!
Have a look through some of our pictures to see the things we get up to – looking after our animals, growing fruit and vegetables to eat and sell, doing general maintenance around the site, making things to sell for fundraising events and more!
If you think you’d like to find out more then just get in touch and we can arrange for you to come along and have a ‘taster’ session to see if you would enjoy being one of our students.
We have regular open days too and everyone is welcome to come and visit the site, just give Emma a call to arrange a time.
